Remote work (remote work) on a large scale is starting at OTE Group from Monday 16/3, protecting its people and contributing to the national effort to slow the spread of coronavirus COVID-2019 in our country.
The aim is for at least 13.000 (80%) of the total of 16.000 people working for the Group to gradually work remotely. The form of remote work will depend on the work they perform. Taking advantage of it technology, the OTE Group has ensured that even with remote work, it will continue to offer its customers its high-level telecommunications services seamlessly.
Furthermore, the company has recommended to its employees to reduce their personal movements and meetings to those absolutely necessary, for their own safety and that of our fellow human beings.
In a letter to all the staff of the Group, the President and CEO of the OTE Group, Mr. Michalis Tsamaz, states in this regard:
"The protection from the coronavirus requires calmness and responsibility. I thank you all warmly for your individual contribution to the national effort to slow down the spread of the virus in our country, but also to our joint effort in the OTE Group to protect ourselves, our colleagues and our customers, and to continue to offer seamlessly the services necessary for society and our country, especially in this critical period."
