Microsoft is known to be preparing Outlook integration with various platforms, which the company discussed during the Ignite conference last year. THE email client it's expected to move to a web platform powered by what the company calls Outlook on the web Powered Experiences (or simply OPX) and is rumored to come with the upcoming Project Monarch.
While application expected to be released in preview form later this year and set for public release in 2022, Microsoft appears to posted a screenshot in the release notes for the latest version of Office Insiders Beta Channel.
The notes contain a picture consisting of two Outlook windows, with the foreground window showing the new Explore feature. However, the background features a new design that includes new icons, a refreshed left pane, and rounded window corners. At the moment the design you see above is not something that has been released to Insiders, which indicates that the company has probably released a mock-up of the upcoming email client rather than the final product.
It is possible that the company from the Redmond is preparing a renewed design for the Desktops to align with the upcoming update Sun Valley of Windows 10 before proceeding with the release of OPX.
