In the last week of March 2010 some users of the social networking site reddit they had the idea of devoting a day to the archiving of data of electronics computers (aka backup).
Their purpose is to remind computer and "smart" users mobile phones the importance of saving the data that their eventual loss due to non-archiving can except from the emotional value for the simple user to having a financial impact for the professional and businesses.
The idea resonated, the external hard drive companies embraced it and thus was born the World Backup Day, which is celebrated every year since 2011, on March 31.
