If someone clicks on the ad links, they are taken to a website showing a fake Google Play. On this site, tens of thousands of users seem to have downloaded the WhatsApp Tricks application. WhatsApp Tricks shows victim-users how to do basic tasks such as changing the status, blocking contacts, and changing pictures on the profile .

So after the specific application is installed, and presents to the users the above "tricks" in the background and without anyone realizing it, it registers the victims in premium mobile telephony services. These "services" inflate the accounts of the victims and of course. part of the revenue goes to the application developers.

If you are using Android you should be very careful, since these scams are targeting people from all over the world.
