Registration applications for the Panhellenic Student Cybersecurity Competition (PMDC) have begun. which will be held for 4^η consecutive year. The competition, which began in 2023, aims to familiarize high school students with the field of cybersecurity and develop their skills in the respective field. Registrations from all public and private schools to which the invitation has been sent, close on January 30, 2026.

The organization responsible for organizing the competition is the Department of Digital Systems of the University of Piraeus, in collaboration with the postgraduate program "Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence Technologies" and the Systems Security Laboratory (SSL), headed by Professor Christos Xenakis . The competition meets the criteria and specifications set by the Institute of Policy Education (IEP) and is supported by the Hellenic Institute of Cybersecurity.

The Panhellenic Student Cybersecurity Competition (PSCC) 2026 will be held in February 2026 for students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of high school. Upon completion of registration, all teams will receive instructions regarding their access to the special platform, so that they can solve the "challenges" of the competition, from 02/02/2026 (starting time 09:00) until 28/02/2025 (ending time 15:00).

The competition process will be based on the "Capture The Flag" model within the CTFd online platform, which has been developed by the scientific team of the Systems Security Laboratory for the needs of the National Cybersecurity Team, which is competing in the pan-European European Cyber Security Challenge ( ECSC) competition organized by the European Cybersecurity Agency (ENISA).

The tests will cover popular areas of cybersecurity as categorized in similar competitions, such as the European ECSC and the corresponding international International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC). The difficulty level of the tests will range from very easy to difficult, so as to allow participation by all students who show an interest in computer security.

The ranking of the teams will be based on the evaluation of their performance in the challenges and according to the summary reports (write-ups) that they will submit. There, the methodology followed by each team to solve each process will be described. The students of the teams that will win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded and will have the opportunity to participate in the training of the National Cyber Security Team, in the context of its preparation for the pan-European competition European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC). All members of the teams that will participate in the competition will be awarded a certificate of participation.

Applications for participation in the competition, which must be completed by the responsible teachers of each school or institution, have already been opened and will remain open until Thursday, January 30, 2026.
