A fault in the toilet of Elon Musk's Dragon capsule forces the astronauts to work with diapers!
According to a Twitter post by Steve Stich, the four astronauts in the SpaceX Dragon capsule will have to work using diapers, as a damage to the onboard toilet does not allow them to use it.
SpaceX discovered the problem last month while testing another Dragon capsule. He found that a tube used to channel urine into a storage tank could peel off, causing urine to leak to the floor of the capsule. In fact, this is a problem that has affected all three spacecraft operated by the company.
The capsule now houses NASA astronauts Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur, the French Space Agency's Frenchman Thomas Pesquet and Japan's Akihiko Hoshide. It is unknown how long it will take to wear diapers or if you want special underwear, as they are called in SpaceX. Equally curious is that the capsule carries diapers with it, like plan-B !!
