How to set the password expiry time on Windows 10
FYI: These steps will only work on Windows 10 Pro editions, Educations and Enterprise.
1. Press Win + R at the same time, and in the "Run" window, type the word lusrmgrmsc to open the Local Users and Groups snap-in. Click the button ok.
2. In the lusrmgr window, double-click users. Now right-click on the user account you want and select Properties.
3. In the Properties tab, clear the "Password never expires option" option. Click Apply, and then click OK. Close the utility.
4. Simultaneously press the Win + R keys and in the "Start" window that will appear write the word secpol.msc. Click OK to open the Local Security Policy snap-in.
5. Then, in the left pane of your local security policy, browse here:

6. In the right pane of Local Security Policy, look for the policy setting called "Maximum password duration". Double-click this policy and set it as the number of days you want the user password to expire. Click the Apply button and then the OK button.
By default the number is in 42 days, but you can do it as long as you want, with a maximum of 999 days.
7. Now, when users try to sign in after the time limit you set in your password policy, they will see the following message:
Your password has expired and needs to be changed.
8. Pressing OK will let the user change their password.
