Patch Tuesday disable updates

Patch Tuesday as we say oh! Rumors circulating in the Windows Friends community say that Microsoft will today re-release Windows 10 1809 at Patch Tuesday this month.

Tip: If I was using Windows I would rather wait a week or a month until Microsoft promises the new version will work fine.

If you decide to follow the above tip it would be good to turn off Automatic Updates immediately.

Below are two methods for disabling Windows Update and they are quite simple.

If you are using Windows 7 or 8.1, click Start - Control Panel - System and Security. In the Windows Update area, click Enable or Disable Automatic Update. Click the "Change settings" link on the left. Make sure you have set important updates to "Never check for updates (not recommended)" and click OK.

If you are using Windows 10 now, read the following post:

or use the following tool we posted earlier:
StopUpdates10 stops on Windows 10 updates

The irony of the matter is that during Patch Tuesday, Microsoft corrects errors or at least that's what we knew until today. But after the last successes of the company, the time has come when we should be protected from the repairs that are released through Patch Tuesday.
