The developers of the PCLinuxOS distribution they announced stable version 2026.05. It is a systemd-free (SysV) distribution that is very user-friendly for beginners. It runs KDE Plasma with the latest Linux kernel:

The distribution is ideal for Windows users who want to experiment with Linux, or are thinking about changing operating system.
