Partial success of the investigation by the Federal Criminal Police Service (BKA) and the Central Service for Combating Cybercrime (ZIT). Their investigators managed to shut down the illegal “Kingdom Market” on the Darknet. However, the admins haven't been caught yet. But customers of this market would do well to worry.
“Kingdom Market” is an illegal marketplace that has existed since at least March 2021 and is only accessible via the Tor network and the Invisible Internet Project (I2P) on the darknet. The English-language platform was used to trade illegal goods. Its main focus was the drug trade.
In addition, malware, criminal services and forged documents were profitably advertised through the platform. More than 42.000 products were offered on the market. There were tens of thousands of customer accounts and several hundred seller accounts listed on the market.
Darknet market users used the cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, Litecoin, Monero and Zcash for every payment. Administrators collected three percent as a commission payment for all sales on the platform.
In an internationally coordinated operation, the General Prosecutor's Office in Frankfurt, the Central Office for the Fight against Internet Crime (ZIT) – and the Federal Criminal Police Agency (BKA) seized the server of the illegal market “Kingdom Market”
