Photopea is an advanced image editor designed to replace Photoshop for when you want a program that runs directly from your browser.
The Photopea is the only program among online image editors that can open and export PSD (Photoshop) files. It also supports Sketch, SVG, XD and CDR formats. It can easily handle simple tasks such as resizing images as well as more complex tasks such as photo editing, illustration creation, web design and more.
Photopea was originally created to support PSD files. Anyone using Photoshop will feel at home with Photopea. It has the same basic tools and the same layout as Photoshop, including keyboard shortcuts. Some of the basic tools are: selection and move, cropping, text, clone, blur, dodge, burn, layers, blend, brushes, curves, masks, and eyedropper.
Web Publishing will send your image to a public URL in Imgur (known only to you). Images sent to Imgur open in a new window, and you may need to turn off the browser pop-up blocker to open the Imgur page.
Photopea will open almost any image file, save files in PSD format and export files in PNG, JPG, SVG, GIF, PDF, EMF, WBP, BMP, PPM, TIFF, ICO and DDS formats. It's fast to load, no plugins required, works in the browser so you can work offline, you can add fonts to your photo from your system and you can drag and drop anything you want.
Photopea works in all popular browsers, including mobile phones and even offline internet. But beware, if you close the browser window, any job that is open will be lost. Some Photopea features are not supported in Safari or IE10. If you're having trouble using Photopea, try Firefox, Chrome, or a Chrome browser like Opera or Vivaldi.
Photopea is financially supported by ads and paid subscriptions that remove ads and support the developer. The developer is very aware and active on the sites, Reddit, Facebook and GitHub.
Photopea, like Photoshop, is not exactly for beginners, so if you want to learn how to use it, the site has step-by-step tutorials in the Learn section.
Tip: If you like Photpea and use Google Chrome, you can add it as an application. Go to Photopea location using Chrome, click the Chrome menu (three dots) and select "Install Photopea". Chrome will ask you if you want to install the application. Select "Install" and Photopea will be added as an application (accessible via the "Applications" icon on the toolbar).
