The Pidgin is a chat program that allows you to connect to your accounts in several chat networks at the same time. This means you can chat with friends on XMPP and watch one at the same time channel on IRC, or Facebook Messenger chats.

Pidgin is compatible with the following chat networks: Jabber / XMPP, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Lotus Sametime, SILC, SIMPLE and Zephyr. It can support many more networks with addons.
Virtually the app can connect you to any existing chat network as long as you add it suitable addon (plugin).
The Pidgin application is constantly evolving. Releases are usually frequent and come from user contributions such as bug reports and patches.
Pidgin is free and contains no advertisements. All our code is open source and available with GNU General admission Public License. This means that you can download the Pidgin code and modify it according to your needs, as long as you publish the changes you have made for the benefit of all.
