Pidgin is a chat program that lets you connect to your accounts on multiple networks conversation at the same time. This means you can chat with friends on XMPP and monitor an IRC channel, or Facebook Messanger chats at the same time.
Pidgin runs on Windows, Linux and other UNIX operating systems. Are you looking for Pidgin for OS X? Try it Adium!

It can support many more networks with addons. Essentially the app can connect you with any network conversations that exist as long as you add the suitable addon (plugin).
The Pidgin app is in constant development. Releases are usually frequent and come from user contributions such as bug reports and updates to the code.
Pidgin is free and does not contain ads. All of our code is open source and available under the GNU General Public License. This means that you can download the Pidgin app code and modify it according to your needs, as long as you publish your changes for everyone to benefit from.
