Pirated sites earn 227 million dollars per year from ads

In accordance with Digital Citizens Alliance,  top pirate sites earn 227.000.000 dollars (€ 165.400.000) in annual ad revenue.

The big websites , finds out , have earnings of approximately $6.000.000 (€4.370.000) per year each. Most of this money comes from big name companies such as and McDonalds, according to TorrentFreak

With Title "Good Money Gone Bad: Digital Thieves and the Online Business Adventure” the report aspires to give you a sense of how much money hosting sites make and they have ads.

More than half of the amount mentioned above applies to top 30 larger websites.

"The 30 largest websites studied, which are supported only by advertisements, earn an average of $ 4.400.000 (€ 3.200.000) on an annual basis. "Even small sites can make more than $ 100.000 (€ 72.900) a year from advertising," the report said.

Amazon, American , Dell, Ford, Lego, McDonalds and Xfinity are just a few of the companies whose ads appear on these sites.
