The big websites torrent sites, finds out report, have earnings of approximately $6.000.000 (€4.370.000) per year each. Most of this money comes from big name companies such as Amazon and McDonalds, according to TorrentFreak
With Title "Good Money Gone Bad: Digital Thieves and the Online Business Adventure” the report aspires to give you a sense of how much money hosting sites make pirated content and they have ads.
More than half of the amount mentioned above applies to top 30 larger websites.
"The 30 largest websites studied, which are supported only by advertisements, earn an average of $ 4.400.000 (€ 3.200.000) on an annual basis. "Even small sites can make more than $ 100.000 (€ 72.900) a year from advertising," the report said.
Amazon, American Express, Dell, Ford, Lego, McDonalds and Xfinity are just a few of the companies whose ads appear on these sites.
