The PortableApps is one of the projects I have been following for many years. The project is constantly evolving, with regular updates to which new applications are added.
So, an idea that started in 2004 to create a portable version of Mozilla Firefox, today has reached the version 29.5.3 (Jun 27, 2024) which contains 500+ mobile apps (78GB) with over a billion downloads.
If you do not know, Portable Apps are the reason PortableApps project exists. These are versions of some programs that do not need to be installed on a system to work. On the contrary, thanks to its monolithic architecture, the executable has all the necessary configuration files, so that it can be used on any computer without installation.
The PortableApps project has a wide range of portable applications that you can simply insert into a USB stick.
With USB, you can use your favorite applications on any computer.
All the applications available in PortableApps are free. It should be noted here that PortableApps does not contain pirated software on its platform, although almost all commercial applications on the mobile version are available on the Internet.
But in the list of applications contained in its pages, you will find many free alternatives that do not require installation.
