Email is an insecure form of communication. Gmail started as a service that in order to get it you had to have an invitation or generally a bar in Koroni. Of course this was the bait to pique the interest of the people. Now every user can create as many Gmail accounts as they want, with imaginative names, completely free of charge.
Completely free; Nothing is free in our world. There is a worrying practice that Google is following with Gmail. To monetize, Google scans incoming and outgoing keyword messages, and then uses the results of those scans to customize targeted ads. If you email a friend about a product, you may see banner ads in Gmail and on the web for products in the same range. It's all part of Google's extensive advertising machine and has made many Gmail users feel uncomfortable about using the service.
How to delete a Gmail account
The only way to ensure that your messages are not scanned for advertising purposes is to completely delete your Gmail account (!!). Google provides this feature and the process takes just one or two minutes to complete. The funny thing is that the company basically does not want you to delete your account, it is a profit for it if you continue to use its donation service and so it has created a way back if you change your mind.
If you want to delete your Gmail account, it's best to do it through a desktop browser. The applications Gmail doesn't have a delete feature, and mobile browsers are a little awkward to use to accommodate you for this process. It's also worth noting that your email address will no longer work, so make sure you have your contacts up to date and stored elsewhere.

How to recover a deleted Gmail account
If you have already deleted your Gmail account, not backed up, and suddenly regretted the decision, everything may not have been lost. The data often stays on Google servers for seven days, after deleting your account, even though you told them to be permanently deleted, making it possible to recover through a interfaceof tissue. If it's been more than seven days since you deleted it, it's highly unlikely you'll be able to recover anything.
- Visit the Google recovery page: https://accounts.google.com/signin/recovery
- Enter the email or phone number you used to sign in to the account you want to retrieve.
- Enter the last password you had in your account.
- Click on the "Next" link.
- If it is not too late, your account will be automatically restored.
Delete all emails instead of deleting your Gmail account
Deleting your entire Gmail account comes with one big downside: your email address will no longer be active. Anyone who wants to contact you will need a current email address and that's it problem when you find out that your contact is trying to talk to you through an old email of yours (if you ever find out).
A nice intermediate solution is to simply delete all your Gmail content, but leave the address intact. Your messages will not be available for scanning ads and you can check your account every week and transfer your contacts to a new e-mail in peace.
- Enter your Gmail and click on the search box at the top and type "in: anywhere", without quotes.
- Press Enter. All your emails will be uploaded without filtering and will include spam.
- Click the small down arrow next to the small box to the left of the Refresh button.
- Select "All"
- A note will appear right above your e-mails: “All 100 talks on this page are selected. Select all conversations that match this search query”
- Click on the underlined part of the note to select all your emails.
- Click the "Delete" button above your email list. What looks like a recycling bin
- Click "OK" in the confirmation dialog.
- Emails sent to the Recycle Bin will be automatically removed and cannot be retrieved after 30 days.
- If you do not want to wait 30 days, go to the Trash by clicking on the corresponding link in the left navigation menu.
- Click the "Empty Trash Now" link at the top.
- Click "OK" in the confirmation dialog to permanently delete your deleted emails.
Although your emails have been removed, there are still a few things you should check in Gmail to make sure all your personal data has been deleted.
- Remove your tags by going to Settings> Tags
- Delete alternate and alias accounts by going to Settings> Accounts
- Remove your custom filters under Settings> Filters and Blocked Addresses
- Delete any forwarding addresses from Settings> Forward / POP /IMAP
Back up your data before deleting Gmail
Removing your data from Google Servers does not mean that you should lose access to it forever. Google offers a quick and convenient way to back up all your information, such as Gmail, photos, Google Drive and YouTube. Before deleting your Gmail account, be sure to download a backup and save it to your computer or to a cloud storage service for secure storage.
- Click on the "backup" link during the deletion process or go to https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout
- Select the Google services you want to back up
- Click on "Next Step"
- Select the archiving format. An .zip file delivered via e-mail is the most common
- Click "Create Export" at the bottom
- Google will collect and archive your data
- If you opted for email delivery, make sure you retrieve the file from Gmail before deleting your account
Gmail is a convenient email service, but it's not the only one. There are a bunch of similar services that do the same thing, that is, expect targeted ads, but have a small market share in Greece and so their ads, however targeted, may not "touch" you. Check out services like Zoho, Yandex, Protonmail, mail.ru, etc.
Good evening, I did the same with the youtube service because for no reason I had eaten a ban. I did not have a channel or I was uploading a video. It just would not let me connect to youtube. to re-put my gmail on a device does not log in, it just tells me that this account already exists. how do I get it back?
