Google's Gmail is one of the most popular email services in the world, and best of all, it's free. Below we will go through the steps you need to create a group email and send messages to many at once.
To create a group email in Gmail, you must first create the group you want to send the email to.
To create it, follow the steps below:
Open Google Contacts. Locate and click the Label icon. Then press + to create a new Label.
Then name the new label (Label). Then select the contacts you want to add to the group from the checkmarks next to each contact's name.
You can now send the email to your group by typing the group name in the recipient section.
Let's see how:
To create a group email in Gmail, follow these steps:
- Open Gmail. At the top left, select Compose to create a new message.
- A new New Message window will appear. Type the group name in the “To, CC and BCC” options.
A new pop-up list of group names will appear.
- Select the group you want and write the message you want to send.
- Select Send to leave.
If you send a message like the above it will display all the email addresses in the recipients. This is not so good for users who want their privacy respected.
To create a group email in Gmail without showing the recipients, do the following.
- Open your Gmail and click on Compose. A new New Message window will appear.
- In the recipient sections, write at least one undisclosed recipient in parentheses with the English prefix Undisclosed recipients. For example, Undisclosed recipients ([email protected]).
- Then open the Bcc section and add your group or individual recipients, add a subject line, compose your email and select Send.
Caution: Sometimes, Bcc is not shown. To see it, press Ctrl + Shift + B on a Windows PC or Command + Shift + B on a Mac.
