A complete autonomous energy park, a creation from the future coming to Greece for the first time and consisting exclusively of "smart" equipment, was presented in Maroussi and handed over for use by citizens.
Η BAT Hellas, μέλος ενός από τους μεγαλύτερους Ομίλους διεθνώς, δημιούργησε το πρώτο e-Πάρκο στην Ελλάδα, μια πρωτοβουλία με άξονα την τεχνολογία και την καινοτομία που υλοποιήθηκε σε συνεργασία με τον Δήμο Αμαρουσίου.
This particular park combines greenery and technology, as it is completely made up of "smart" equipment, such as, among others, solar lighting poles, "smart" solar benches and tables, a specially designed area with the possibility of charging electric cars, as well as a smart watering system, elements which make it completely energy independent.
The "smart" equipment installed in the e-Park operates using solar energy and technology systems, which give the e-Park autonomy without the use of electricity. BAT's aim is through the application of "smart" solar elements in the park - in an area where greenery has been a request of the residents for many years - to create a sustainable and digital, public space in Marousi, which offers a number of technological benefits to local residents and visitors. Those who visit the e-Park have, among other things, the possibility of free wireless internet access, connecting a mobile device via bluetooth to play music/information, charging mobile devices wirelessly/wired, while at the same time, 100% energy autonomy is provided with the use of solar panels.
The implementation of the e-Park by BAT Hellas comes as a continuation of its commitment to A Better Tomorrow and the continuous march towards a sustainable future.
This particular initiative is a tangible example of the transition of cities towards green development, simultaneously promoting energy solutions and the use of technology as a driver of sustainable development through innovative smart elements that create a positive impact on local communities and the environment, helping to improve citizens' quality of life. The company's employees actively participated in the implementation of the e-Park and, together with the special workshops, delivered the e-Park for use.
