From yesterday, December 27, in the Covid-Free Wallet application, citizens will be able to add their digital identity.
Undersecretary of Digital Government George Georgantas announced the addition of digital identity to the Covid-Free Wallet application, in order to reduce congestion in retail stores and cinemas. Users can therefore download the application both from Google Play Store as well as by Apple App Store, depending on the smartphone device they have.
There is only a photo, name and date of birth for the identification of the person together with the QR code of the certificate and for the identity certificate data are obtained from TAXISnet or from the financial institutions.
Attention: This application does not replace the ID but is only used to check the vaccination or disease certificate in stores and where needed.
