25 Years WWW: As 1991 today, a British researcher who worked in Switzerland suddenly opened something completely unknown to the public. He gave for public use what was called and continues to be called the World Wide Web.
Today 25 years later, it is safe to say that the World Wide Web has changed every aspect of our lives, for better or for worse, depends on how one looks at it.
The World Wide Web, of Tim Berners-Lee, who was working at CERN at the time, had such a profound and complex impact on the world then, but also on the world of today and tomorrow, that it was impossible to conceive and predict.
For some entrepreneurs who saw ahead, it has brought tremendous wealth and continues to be a means of enrichment, in lawful and illegal ways.
It has given an unprecedented power to the media that they want freedom of speech to be enhanced and strengthened, although sometimes it is not so certain.
But no one can be left ecstatic by its enormous size.
