Red Hat has released a development snapshot of the company's Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x series. The new beta, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.7 Beta, brings a number of bug fixes and performance improvements, as well as MDS / ZombieLoad vulnerabilities.
RHEL 7.7 Beta includes a number of enhancements and bug fixes to provide a powerful and flexible platform for the hybrid cloud computing.
Key updates include support for the latest generation of business hardware as well as recently discovered Microarchitectural Data Sampling (MDS) / ZombieLoad vulnerabilities.
The beta version also includes improvements to network stack performance, as well as the ability to offload virtual switching functions to network interface card (NIC) hardware.
These features also improve the performance of Red Hat OpenStack Platform and Red Hat OpenShift deployments, which have been developed for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and use virtual toggle and virtual network (NFV) mode. ”
