Redcore Linux is a Gentoo-based distribution that comes in two versions with predefined user interfaces: KDE Plasma and LXQt.
The latest version of the project is Redcore Linux 1908, and is based on the trial version of Gentoo to provide more up-to-date packages:
Starting with this version, Redcore Linux will be based on the trial version of Gentoo Linux and is therefore a cutting edge distribution.
In order to avoid as many possible problems as possible, we have our own testing department, but also the test binary repository.
We connect with the trial Gentoo on a weekly basis, and after a while in our testing department, we forward the changes to the Master repository. It works according to the following scheme:
Gentoo Testing -> Redcore Testing -> Redcore Stable.
You can if you want to try downloads from our Testing branch (sisyphus can change repo) and you can report any problems you find. We correct them and promote them.
The full list of changes that the update brings is available at traffic notes.
