The rentahuman.ai platform aims to fix this problem. The platform allows AI agents to assign tasks to real people, for a fee. According to Rentahuman.ai, AI agents will be able to assign people to, for example, pick up or deliver packages, sign documents, or run errands.

According to rentahuman.ai, over 500.000 people from over a hundred countries are now registered on the platform. AI agents search through these verified profiles via MCP or REST API, select the person who is suitable for a job based on their skills or location, and then contact them via direct message. Job requests, including the amount of pay, can also be published on the platform, from where people can then apply.

According to rentahuman.ai, tasks in the physical world will only be paid after they are completed and approved by AI agents. To do this, people will need to provide appropriate proof, for example in the form of photos. Payments can then be processed via cryptocurrency, payment service provider Stripe, or credit on the platform.

Yes, it looks like an early April Fool's joke, but it's a real project by software developer Alexander Liteplo, who introduced rentahuman.ai in a post on X earlier this month.

According to his statements on the project's website, the goal is to bridge the gap between digital workers, i.e. AI agents, and the physical world. Because 90% of economic activities still take place in the physical world.
