Hacktivists from a group called Russian Cyber Command (Rucyborg) managed to breach the systems of SearchInform, a Russian company specializing in providing solutions for employee monitoring and protection online data.
The hackers claim to have had access to the company's systems since 2012. They have allegedly infected all download links. Hacktivists also report gaining access to SearchInform customers' servers through a backend system.
Interestingly, as soon as the hack was announced, the websites searchinform.com as well as searchinform.ru were taken down operation.
Rucyborg hackers report that SearchInform is a "leading Russian spy company."
"Tonight we will deal a catastrophic blow to the regime of Putin and his TOP IT market leader IT company. FSB is in control of the infrastructure of all major Russian companies - including VELES CAPITAL, RUSAL, GAZPROM, SUKHOI and many more, the hackers said in a statement posted by CyberGuerilla.
Meanwhile, the hackers have leaked a total of over 3.000 files (382 Mb compressed). In the leaked files there are messages ηλεκτρονικού ταχυδρομείου, βάσεις δεδομένων, πηγαίος codes, software and various kinds of documents, most of which are in Russian. A preview of the leak consisting of 31 screenshots has been uploaded to Imgur.
Hackers report and warn that their next target will be VELES CAPITAL, the company that, according to hackers, is the main investor in the Russian Crimea.
