Salix Xfce 14.2 beta 1 Just released

Salix is a distribution GNU / Linux based on Slackware that is simple, fast and easy to use with stability as its primary goal. Salix is also fully compatible with Slackware, so Slackware users can benefit from the Salix repositories, which they can use as "extra" sources of quality software for their favorite distribution. Installation

Η installation it is not done with a graphical interface, but it is quite easy and fast. A "full" or Full installation will take less than 5 minutes on each modern computer.

Salix has three different ways of installing:

Full: Everything included in the ISO will be installed. This includes a complete desktop environment and a full selection of applications that match the corresponding environment, always following the logic of "one application per job."
Basic: It only installs a basic environment work, with very few additional applications, such as a web browser and the Gslapt package manager. Ideal for advanced users who will want to install a lightweight desktop and add their own selection of applications.
Core: Only those necessary for a console system are included. Graphical environment is not provided, so this installation is ideal for experienced users who want to configure their system on their own, or set up a web server, etc.
