Today at MWC in Barcelona, Samsung introduced two new devices for 2015: the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge.
Both Samsung Galaxy S6 devices have 5.1” Quad HD screens with a resolution of 2560×1440 at 577ppi, quad-core processor, 3GB DDR-4 memory, Super AMOLED screen and will be available in 32, 64 and 128GB versions.
The rear camera for the S6 is 16 megapixels, with an f/1.9 shooter and optical stabilization picturewhile the front camera is a 5-megapixel, f/1.9 shooter with “real-time HDR.”
The new devices are Samsung's first devices with a metal frame, and the company states that it is “much tougher than others high-end smartphones” (we all understood which high-end smartphones the company is referring to). The company also made a better fingerprint sensor that works more consistently.
The Galaxy Edge S6 has a beautiful curved screen that wraps around the sides of the device.
Δύο μεγάλες αλλαγές που έρχονται με το S6 είναι ότι δεν υπάρχει υποστήριξη επέκτασης μνήμης και ότι η μπαταρία είναι μη-αποσπώμενη. Ωστόσο η Samsung αναφέρει ότι αυτό είναι καλό, καθώς θα φορτίζει πολύ γρηγορότερα από ό, τι το iPhone 6 and will support wireless charging.
Samsung has also announced a redesigned software that, as it says, will make it simpler and easier to use. It's based on Android Lollipop.
Both handsets will be available in 20 countries from April 10. The S6 comes in white, black, gold and blue, while the S6 Edge will be available in all these colors but also in green.
