As it turns out, the mysterious reddish tint is not the only issue faced by the Samsung Galaxy S8. Many users report that their brand new mobile phones are restarted unnecessarily on their own.
While it remains unclear what the glitch could cause, it seems that the problem still exists in the Galaxy S8 and in the slightly larger Galaxy S8 +.
Owners who have identified the problem write about it at Reddit, The XDA Developers forums as well as its page American community in Samsung to protest about the issue.
According to user complaints, some Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + have made at least five reboots within the first 10 hours of operation of the device.
Some users feel that the problem may be due to malfunction of the microSD card, and others report that the error persists even after removing the SD card.
One user claims that Samsung's customer service has recommended that S8 be started in safe mode, indicating that abrupt reboots may be the result of issues related to third-party applications.
The Android Authority page states that "it is not uncommon for smartphones to require one or two reboots as they come out of the box", but this is not the case with Reddit, XDA Developers and Samsung's page.
Meanwhile, Samsung has already begun running software that is supposed to repair the red hue on the device screen. So the company from South Korea could later release a similar solution to the issue of restarting the Samsung Galaxy S8 if it turns out to be software and not hardware.
George is still wondering what he is doing here….
