Script Kiddies Behind Qatar Crisis? Last week, Qatar's state television station was hit by hackers thereby spreading false information. As it turns out the hack may have been the work of "script kiddies".
The hack of Qatar's news agency and television station was "extremely easy to pull off," sources told Motherboard, allowing the attack happen with very little effort on the part of the hackers.
The situation that created this hack was terrible. In 23 May, Qatar news agency reported that Qatar Emir, Sheikh Tamin Al Thani, said that Iran was an Islamic force that can not be ignored. Given the tensions in the region, this comment has caused a variety of reactions in nearby countries.
The problem, of course, was that Emir had not mentioned anything like that and the information had been "planted" by the hackers, who seem to have gone a step further after hacking into the station's Twitter, posting more false statements attributed to his Foreign Minister. Qatar

Attackers allegedly gained control over the entire server, content management system and all accounts of social media.
