Have you ever shared video of 15 minutes of YouTube only to have your friends watch a scene somewhere in the middle of it? It is quite annoying for your interlocutor, but not if you know exactly how to give the video so that it starts playing from the point in question.
There are two ways to do this: in computer you using your browser, or if you simply add a few characters to its URL YouTube.
Let's start with the browser. Below the title of the video and under the red "Subscribe" button for the channel, you will see a "Share" button.
Make it click on it and you will see a new window with the url of the video. You can copy this url and share it with your friends, but as it is the video will start from the beginning. Below the url there is also a box control and a field labeled “Start”.
Click this check box, then select the exact time you want the video to start. That is, type in the box the exact time you want in the format mm:ss, where m=minutes of the hour and s=seconds.
Once you enter the time you want you will see the url change. Essentially you will see a "? T = XXmXXs" added at the end where XX are the numbers you entered. Copy the new Url and share it anywhere you want by pasting. Anyone who clicks on this link will see the video start at exactly the time you want. Of course users who will see it can start the video from the beginning at any time.
Unfortunately there is no built-in way to create these links for Android or iOS, the option is simply not available. But you can create a URL on any platform if you know how the above way of changing the URL works.
Look carefully at this URL:

You will see that if you add a few characters at the end, such as "? T = 1m16s" then the video will take the form:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LRt3dSbS14?t=1m16s
and whoever clicks on this url will see the video starting from 1 minute and 16 seconds.
Knowing this little trick, you can create your own url by simply typing the addition? T = followed by a specific moment you want. It's a little awkward, but it works, try it yourself.
