Sharp AQUOS Beyond 4K UHD: While most of us don't have one yet TV 4K, Sharp announced today that 4K is a thing of the past. No, the announcement wasn't exactly that, but it essentially left all 4K TVs behind.
At CES today, Sharp announced the AQUOS Beyond 4K UHD TV. As the suggests name, the TV surpasses 4K with 66 million sub-pixels. According to Sharp the TV has 167 percent more resolution than all standard 4K series.
To give all those extra sub-pixels to the screen, Sharp uses Quattron's pixel-splitting technology. Sharp reports that the TV produces more colors than any other TV with higher contrast.
