The Israeli launchup Sirin Labs today officially announced its super high-end Android smartphone at an event in London.
Η Sirin Labs 2013 was founded by Kazakh businessman Kenges Rakishev, Israeli businessman Moshe Hogeg and former McKinsey advisor, Mr. Tal Cohen.
Their mission?
Create the Rolls-Royce of smartphones, an advanced device that combines "the most secure privacy settings, works faster than any other phone, and is made with the finest materials from around the world"
The company had originally funded 25 million dollars a couple of years ago, followed by 72 million dollars last month.
Solarin promises "the most advanced privacy technology currently available" and partnered with KoolSpan to integrate 256-bit AES chip-to-chip encryption, similar to encryption used by the military to protect of communications. Activated by a safety switch on the back of the phone.
"Cyber-attacks are endemic around the world," said Tal Cohen, CEO and co-founder of Sirin Labs.
"A attack μπορεί να βλάψει σοβαρά τη φήμη και την οικονομία μιας επιχείρησης. Το Solarin πρωτοπορεί, με μέτρα προστασίας της ιδιωτικής ζωής χωρίς συμβιβασμούς και παρέχει στους πελάτες εμπιστοσύνη και την απαραίτητη διαβεβαίωση ότι θα διεκπεραιώνουν τις εργασίες τους με τις κρίσιμες πληροφορίες.”
Solarin uses a Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 810, και υποστηρίζει 24 ζώνες LTE. Υπόσχεται “πολύ ανώτερη” συνδεσιμότητα Wi-Fi από τα συμβατικά κινητά τηλέφωνα. Έχει επίσης μια πίσω κάμερα στα 23.8-megapixel and its screen is 5.5 ”IPS LED with 2K resolution.
“Κάθε επιλογή στο σχεδιασμό και το material έγινε με βάση την απόδοση και τη functionality," said Fredrik Öijer, VP of Products at Sirin Labs. "The product we have today brings together the best on the global stage."
It is worth noting that the device is not a mass-production and purchasing device since each one costs 13.800 dollars. The first parts to be released will be at Mayfair (34 Bruton Place), London from 1 June and at Harrods, Knightsbridge from June 30.
