According to ZDNet, there is no official announcement from Google, except for a reference to the official Android One page about the new version of the software and all the corrections brought by the latest version of the software. Due to the fact that there is no official announcement, it is unclear what features the new version of Android will have.

According to what has already been leaked to the newer version of Android, there will be improvements to all the problems that have been encountered, such as some issues with alerts and wireless links. Also, some features missing from 5.0, such as Silent Mode, have been added. The battery performance of Android 5.1 Lollipop models has also improved, and corrections have been made to problems that occurred with Google's OK.

It is worth noting that the Android Lollipop 5.1 some changes have been made to Material Design, especially with regard to the color palette that is available. Nexus 5, 6 and 9 owners will see the updated version on their devices.
