The router your home is vulnerable to attacks. Here are six different things you can do to secure your network.
Do not use the default login passwords

Change the default settings at first opportunity with a powerful username (if possible) and a strong password too.
Set up your Wi-Fi security on WPA2
WPA2 encryption is not perfect, but it is the best solution for home. Allows you to set a strong password - with letters, numbers and other characters. The stronger the password, the harder it will be for someone to access your network.
Set up a list of "approved" devices
Each network device has a MAC address that uniquely identifies this device. By setting up the MAC Filter, you allow devices with predefined MAC addresses to access the network. No other device will be able to use your network - even if they have the password.
You are constantly upgrading it firmware of your router
Updating your router's software will close known vulnerabilities and vulnerabilities. The updates εκτός από τις διορθώσεις ασφαλείας, φέρνουν αρκετές φορές και νέα χαρακτηριστικά στο λογισμικό σας. Οι ενημερώσεις του firmware are usually available from the router manufacturer's website.
Turn off remote access, UPnP
The feature Universal Plug-and-Play (UPnP)
Also, if you have remote access to your router, disable it. Very few people, unless you are the business network administrator, need remote access to networking devices.
Disable guest access
A few routers provide guest access. This feature often separates you from your home network for your temporary access guests. Some hackers, however, were able to create channels by passing through the firewall to other parts of the network.
