Skype adds real-time chat captions during your calls.
To celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities h Microsoft announced todayAdding real-time subtitles to Skype. This feature works with the latest version of the program, 8 for Android (6.0+), iPhone, iPad, Linux, Mac, Windows and Skype for Windows 10 (version 14). Subtitles are currently scrolling automatically in your call. But in a future update, Skype will add additional viewing options, including the ability to scroll through their own window.
The feature is currently only available in English but Skype has also announced translation capabilities that support more than 20 languages and dialects. It is not known whether Greek will be included. Anyway the translation feature will be available in the coming weeks.
If finally and when it is available for the Greek language, then if you want to see subtitles online on Skype you should do the following:
During an audio or video call, select the plus sign (+) button.
Select to enable subtitles.
Also, when and if it is available in Greek, you will be able to activate the subtitles as the default for all Skype calls by doing the following:
Select your profile picture.
Select Settings.
Select Calls.
Select Call Subtitles (this option is not yet visible).
