New improved Skype Preview

Microsoft recently announced the release of a "Preview" version of Skype for the "next generation", which completely changes the application.

Skype's new preview app was initially released only for Android, but the company promised that it will soon be released for iOS, Windows and Mac OS X. The new app, according to the company, "is aimed at creating, playing, sharing and generally "doing more" with them who use it.

Note: Skype for Android preview is only available in the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, , Canada, Philippines and Pakistan.

Microsoft describes the new application in the following way on the Skype blog.

"Rebuilt from the ground up, the new Skype dramatically improves the ways you can connect with your loved ones and, of course, your conversations. We've made group chats more alive, expressive, and more importantly—personalized—so you can chat the way you want.

The new features that Microsoft has added are options to choose a color and customize it in the app UI, the new feature of reacting with emoticons in chats or videos and the new highlights feature that lets you create a folder of photos and videos, and share them easily.

There is also a new mode s that immediately opens the camera when you turn it on. You can use it to take photos or videos, add text to them or put emoticons on them before sharing them with others.

Another new feature is the search panel that is backed up by add-ons and bots to give you information from various sources.
