Skype now lets you zoom in on the app. Do not be confused, we are not talking about the rival application.
Microsoft has added a zoom feature to Skype that lets you zoom in on parts of a shared screen for better content viewing. Intuitive controls allow participants to select a portion of the screen to see it larger.
How does it work; How to zoom in on Skype
You have many options for using Skype's new zoom feature. The most obvious way to zoom in is to use the controls in the lower right corner of the screen.
Hover your mouse over the zoom controls.
Select the desired magnification.
Drag the screen to where you want to focus.
Alternatively, you can use the trackpad to zoom in and out in the same way you would with any other app.
You can also use Ctrl + Plus (+) and Ctrl + Minus (-) key combinations in macOS and Windows for the same function. If you are using a mouse, hold down Cmd on a Mac or Ctrl on a computer and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out.
So far, the feature is available in the macOS and Windows versions of Skype, as well as in the web application (via the Edge browser). Although you can make Skype calls using other operating systems, some tools are not available.
At this stage, zooming only works when a participant shares their screen, so you do not have to worry about someone zooming in on your head during a meeting.
