Τι είναι το SLACKEL; It is a Linux and LiveCD distribution based on Slackware and Salix. It is fully compatible with Slackware and Salix but its difference is that it includes the current version of Slackware and the latest version of KDE in its repositories.
So Slackware and Salix users can take advantage of Slackel's repositories and use the latest version of KDE. Two versions, the installation version, and the LiveCD are available.

Today it was released Slackel 7.0 Openbox. Slackel is based on Slackware and Salix.
Includes Linux kernel 4.4.38 and the latest software upgrades from the current version of Slackware.
The Slackel 7.0 openbox 32 bit image includes PAE and non-PAE cores for i486 PC's.
The ncurses installer includes the option of installing the Lilo or Grub boot loader. After installation, users can use the tool grubconfig to reinstall grub or to change an existing system using Lilo to Grub boot loader.
Users can also use the tool update-grub to update grub's menus anytime they upgrade to the Linux kernel or have another distribution installed on another hard drive partition.
Os-prober is used to update the grub menus with all the operating systems in your system.
Applications are included Midori 0.5.11, Mozilla Firefox 45.9.0esr (multi-lingual edition), Pidgin 2.12.0, Transmission 2.92, Wicd 1.7.4, Sylpheed 3.5.1, Mozilla Thunderbird 52.0.1, gFTP 2.0.19. Filezilla 3.24.1, SMPlayer 17.4.0 movie player, MPlayer-1.3, Exaile 3.4.5, Asunder 2.7 CD ripper, Brasero 3.12.0, GIMP 2.8.20 and more.
The iso images are isohybrid.
