SnoopSnitch: It seems that some device manufacturers Android they claim that their devices are up to date when they are not. Below we will see how to determine if your Android smartphone has been updated.
Initially you should go on the Google Play Store and download SnoopSnitch, an application developed by Security Research Labs, the company that first discovered that Android cell phone manufacturers are not being honest with their customers.
The application is free and downloading and installing takes a few seconds.
After installing the application, click Android patch level analysis which appears at the top of the screen and then select Home test.
The tests will take some time, but the results will justify you.
SnoopSnitch will discover and report to you not only the vulnerabilities that have been patched, but also the patches missing, as well as new vulnerabilities that have not yet been patched.
For more information on the results, please consult faq of the Security Research Labs.
Note: SnoopSnitch also claims to be able to detect "stingray" phone monitors, but this feature may be inaccurate.
What can you do with the information?
If your device is up to date, everything is fine. If not, then you know with certainty that the manufacturer you trust is not trustworthy.
