Edward Snowden, through Twitter, asked the President of the USA Donald Trump να δώσει χάρη στον ιδρυτή του Wikileaks, Julian Assange.
"Mr President, if you want to grant only one favor during your term of office, please release Julian Assange. "Only you can save his life," Snowden said.
Mr. President, if you grant only one act of clemency during your time in office, please: free Julian Assange. You alone can save his life. @realDonaldTrump

WikiLeaks founder Assange is being held in London. Arrested in April 2019 for infringement of pre-trial release terms in a 2012 UK case.
At the time, Assange sought political asylum at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he lived until his arrest in 2019 when the Ecuadorian government stopped supporting the founder of WikiLeaks.
US authorities accuse Assange of conspiracy and leak of classified documents to the US. The indictment was updated a month later, adding that Assange had tried to recruit prominent hacker groups (Anonymous and LulzSec) to steal sensitive files for publication on WikiLeaks.
Assange has repeatedly threatened to commit suicide if extradited to the United States, threats his lawyers use as a central point of defense. That's why Snowden said Trump's favor would save Assange's life.
Last week, Tulsi Gabbard, a Hawaii State House spokesman, also asked Trump to pardon both Assange and Snowden. It remains to be seen what the President will do.
