The SoftEther VPN Project develops and distributes SoftEther VPN, a free open-source (Open-Source) multi-protocol VPN program. It is an academic project from the University of Tsukuba, and is distributed under the Apache 2.0 License.
What is SoftEther VPN?
SoftEther VPN ("SoftEther" stands for "Ethernet Software") is one of the most powerful and easy-to-use multi-protocol VPN software in the world. Runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, FreeBSD and Solaris.
It is open source, so you can use it for personal or commercial use, free of charge.
It has an OpenVPN Server cloning function, but it is faster than OpenVPN. It also supports Microsoft SSTP VPN for Windows Vista/7/8., so you don't have to pay dearly for a license of Windows Server that gives you remote access VPN functionality.
