The Japanese company admits in its announcement that it is still struggling to cope with increased demand for PlayStateon 4, but remains firm in its commitment to meeting the needs of the public.

The performance of the sale of seven million PlayStation 4 exceeds the performance achieved with the previous console of the company. More specifically, the PlayStation 3 in four months of release had sales of 3,5 million units, from November 2006 to March 2007.

The availability of PlayStation 4 began on November 29, 2013, to be followed by its great rival the of Microsoft. Sales of the Xbox One, which is more expensive than Sony's console, reached 3 million units sold in late 2013.

It is worth noting that the PlayStation 4 is already available in 72 markets, while the Xbox One is expected to debut in 26 new markets as early as next September, including in Greece and other European countries such as Japan, Korea and .a.
