The SpongeBob Game Diner Dash withdrew from iTunes for violating children's rights

The SpongeBob Diner Dash game for kids and adults has been removed from the iTunes App Store because of the collection of email addresses for targeted ads.

While ad targeting is not an illegal act, users' e-mail collection is disapproved if users are aged 13 years and below.

As mentioned above, the SpongeBob Diner Dash app collects e-mail addresses for players for both promo and targeted ads, but in accordance with Electronic Child Protection Act (COPPA), webmasters targeting children under the age of 13 must obtain parental leave to store their information.

The SpongeBob Diner Dash is not specifically geared towards a young audience, although the cartoon graphics actually make it more a child's play than an adult title.

That is why we are still debating whether or not the app should be allowed on the iTubes App Store. Currently, the SpongeBob Diner Dash is not available for download.
