SSJ is a small script based on the docker, recommended for daily use and created for users engaged in penetration testing and criminology.
It runs at near-native performance (as the containers use the host kernel) and is therefore a slightly better alternative to virtual machines in terms of speed, performance and convenience.
SSJ is a Docker image that uses kalilinux/kali as a base image and installs packages google-chrome, firefox-esr, sublime-text, tmux, kali-linux-large, etc. It uses a mirror of kali.download/kali and kali-last-snapshot. It also allows you to run applications with a GUI like the Burpsuit to, Wireshark, Ettercap, etc. from the container in daily use, using connection capabilities and – net = host argumen.
This script creates the image and a .desktop file (the Application Launcher) for you. So all you have to do is find SSJ in the application menu and click on it to launch it. An xfce4 terminal with all the pentesting and infosec tools will appear. Run the command burpsuite to enable the proxy server, firefox to enable the browser, and thus, you have access to hundreds of tools and packages available in Kali Linux (especially Kali-linux-large metapackage), in your daily Linux distribution.
