Startup company Prophetic believes that engineers can write code in their sleep

A startup company called Prophetic plans to bring to market the Halos device that will allow you to generate ideas and essentially work in your sleep.

Humans spend a third of their lives sleeping. What if they could work in that time, that is, if they could work on their dreams? Prophetic, a startup company he claims he can do it.

It uses a head part called “Halos”, the prototype of which you can see in the photo of the article. Prophetic reports that consumers can trigger a lucid dream, which occurs when the dreamer realizes that he is asleep.

The goal is to give people control over their dreams so they can use that time productively. For example, a CEO could practice an upcoming board meeting, a web designer could create new templates, etc. “The limiting factor is your imagination,” said founder and CEO Eric Wollberg.

Consumer devices that claim to induce lucid dream states are not new. Headbands, eye masks and electrode boxes that stick to the forehead are already on the market. Even some supplements claim to do the same trick. In other words, remember your dreams.

But it seems that there is still an appetite for new technologies, because the possibilities for creativity and problem-solving are so great, and because many gadgets on the market don't work as well as they promise. The possibility of lucid dreaming is less about conquering specific problems and more about finding new, creative ways of approaching subjects that a sleeper could not previously comprehend.

For example, a mathematician may not arrive at a specific, numerical answer to a math problem while asleep, but lucid dreaming allows him to explore new strategies to approach the equation differently while awake.

If the Halos eventually come to market they will cost around $1.500 to $2.000.
