The usage statistics desktop with operating systems from Net Applications for May, show a slight increase for Windows 8/8.1, after Windows 7 to overcome it 50%.
More in detail, since April, the Windows 8.1 increased their percentage against 0,47% (from 5,88% to 6,35%), and the Windows 8 they had a small one reduction against 0,07% (from 6,36% to 6,29%).
Overall, the percentage of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, had an increase over 0,40%, from 12,24% to 12,64%.
With regard to Windows 7 the operating system remains with them more users, and since May it is installed on half computers, while its percentage has a small increase by 0,79% (from 49,27% to 50,06%).
The Windows XP, although their final cessation of support took place about a month ago, they still have a high percentage that reaches 25,27%. Their share compared to April was down only by 1,02%.
The figures come from the monthly research of Net Applications and result from visits 160 of millions of unique users on 40.000 web sites worldwide.
