Stop upgrading to Windows 10 easily without third-party software

It is now known that Microsoft with a fairly aggressive policy is trying to upgrade the computers of the whole world to . So too many users are using various tweaks and apps to block the upgrade.

So third-party software such as the GWX application Panels are very popular these days. But it is important to know that Microsoft also has an alternative way, really easy to implement in Windows 7. And it is very effective.Windows 10

The update released by Microsoft in the middle of 2015 for Windows 7 (download the update to 32-bit or to 64-bit from here), supports a new policy that completely prevents upgrading to new versions of Windows.
So, all you have to do is install this update and then enable the new policy to make sure that your computer will never be upgraded to Windows 10.

After you install this update (if you are running it normally on your computer, the update is already installed), you can enable the new policy through the Group Policy Editor or from the Registry Editor.

To use Group Policy Editor, click Start on Windows 7, and type gpedit.msc to run the application. Then follow the route:

Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update

Open the option called "Turn off the upgrade to the latest version of Windows through Windows Update" and put it on "Enabled"

With the Registry Editor method, just click on the Start menu, and start the application by typing regedit.exe. Follow the route:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows

Select the Windows folder, right-click on it and create a new entry called "WindowsUpdate." On the right page, create a new DWORD entry called "DisableOSUpgrade" and set the value to 1.

That's it. Windows 10 will not be installed on your computer. Unless the company changes something.
