A 14-year-old student from Maine was burned when the iPhone 5C that she had in her pocket caught fire, as reported by Portland Press Herald.
"Tobacco begins to wrap around the schoolgirl," said Jeff Rodman, head of the school.
The girl was forced to take off her pants, while her iPhone was still "smoldering."
The girl, the name which was not published at her mother's request, she suffered second-degree burns. The incident happened on Friday. The unfortunate girl was burned on her leg and back, and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Apple has not yet made any statements about the unfortunate incident.
