A special point of reference is the ability to control the status of backup tasks from one point. IT administrators can thus save time and simplify backup tasks by backing up and managing multiple servers with just one backup job.

Also, the app offers a simplified upgrade option. This is achieved through intuitive wizards and insightful dashboards, which the application uses and manages easily, regardless of whether it has been upgraded from a previous or switching from an alternative.

Symantec Backup Exec 2014 is available from June 2, 2014 and as announced, service packs will be released every 90 days with Service Pack 1 of Backup Exec 2014 scheduled to be released in September 2014.
