Shortly before MarkMonitor's technicians detected the attack and managed to close the management panel to prevent hackers from taking further action, SEA published a screenshot showing that Facebook had already begun to change.
The picture shows that the addresses of the registrants had changed with one from Damascus. The message accompanying the screenshot states, "Happy Birthday Mark! Το Facebook.com ανήκει στην SEA. "
