System Rescue CD 8.0.2 ISO available for download

System Rescue CD: Computers are tools that allow us to do incredible things, but with use there is still a problem. The problem may come from accidentally deleting files, not remembering or saving a password until the operating system is no longer bootable due to corrupt system files, or the hard drive (worst case scenario). For each of these problems, there are specialized tools that can help fix problems on a computer, or help us take care of and be prepared for the unexpected of a fault if something bad happens. One of them is the System Rescue Cd which is addressed to system administrators.

SystemRescueCD is a powerful tool for repairing Linux systems and can run as a bootable CD-ROM or from a USB stick. A welcome message provides basic instructions for starting the network interface, the programs are executed in line orders (processors text and a web browser), which enables NTFS support to read Windows formatted hard drives.

Το σύστημα βασίζεται πλέον στο ArchLinux και κατασκευάστηκε χρησιμοποιώντας το archiso και τις εξαρτήσεις του. Τα προγράμματα του πυρήνα αλλά και των χρηστών είναι πια στα 64-bit (δεν υποστηρίζεται πια η πλατφόρμα στα 32-bit). Γραφικό περιβάλλον βασίζεται στο xorg-1.20.3 και το xfce-4.12. Η νέα έκδοση ενημέρωσε τον kernel στον Long-Term-Supported linux-5.4.44. Όπως προαναφέραμε χρησιμοποιεί γραφικό περιβάλλον work XFCE. The System Rescue CD is licensed under the GNU License General Public License Version 2.
